Type 2 Turbidity Curtain Specifications
Question: Hi, can you please give me Type 2 turbidity curtain specifications and price per linear foot?
Answer: Thank you for contacting GEI Works with your inquiry. I'm happy to provide you with Type 2 turbidity curtain specifications.
Triton Type 2 turbidity curtain is ideal for medium workloads and can be stored easily on the deck of a vessel for repeat use. The main function of turbidity turbidity barriers is to control the dispersion of suspended silt and sediment and improve settling times (Stokes Law). This process protects aquatic habitats, fish, marine animals, and below surface water pollution.
Type 2 turbidity curtain specifications vary somewhat between models (Contractor, DOT, Heavy Duty, and Permeable - see all) Generally, Triton type 2 turbidity curtains can stand up to 2 foot waves, 30 mph winds, and <2.5 fps. Standard silt curtains normally come in 100 feet (30 m) or 50’ (15m) length, but can be bult to any length. The draft can be from 3 feet to 100 feet with an 8-12" freeboard. See specifications chart
