Sludge Dewatering Bags
Geotextile Dewatering Tubes
Large sludge dewatering bags can be a common requirement for areas dealing with significant amounts of sludge. In order to meet the demands of these projects, large Geotextile Dewatering Tubes are used to increase storage capacities and dewatering times. While standard sizes for dewatering bags will typically range in size up to 15' x 25', dewatering tubes are built to significantly higher dimensions including lengths up to 200 feet.
Dewatering Tube Design
The dewatering tube is designed to feature an increased circumference and length to store higher volumes of material in a single tube. Standard dimensions for these tubes will feature the following:
- Standard Lengths: 50', 100', 150', 200'
- Standard Circumferences: 15', 30', 45', 60', 75', 90'
These products are extremely flexible and are able to be custom built to your requirements. Please do not hesitate to specify requirements for your project.
Once the size of your septage dewatering bag has been determined, items like a filling ports, bracing loops and more can be added as needed throughout the length of the tube. Standard tubes will feature 1, 2 or 3 ports equally spaced throughout the length of the tube. All geotextile tubes are built using a woven polypropylene geotextile fabric that offers high strength for large requirements.
Dewatering Bags and Sludge Removal Versus Tubes
When compared to standard dewatering bags, the dewatering tube can offer several advantages during its use. Some of the many opportunities these tubes offer includes the following:
- Increased Storage Capacity
- Long-Term Dewatering Periods
- Can Effectively Run 24/7 without Problems
- No Complicated Procedures or Components
- Economical Dewatering Approach
Especially when used for large sludge jobs, dewatering tubes can be implemented with the use of a polymer to help treat sludge and reduce total dewatering times. Please feel free to contact a dewatering specialist to see how these items can be used to help reduce times in your location.
