Geotextile Fabric Suppliers
16 oz Non Woven Geotextile GE116
The 16 oz. nonwoven geotextile is one of the highest strength fabrics available for separation, stabilization and filtration. Offering both a high tensile strength and a high level of permeability, nonwoven geotextile has been commonly used in areas where high strength and filtration is required. This has included use in road stabilization, aggregate separation, geomembrane cushioning and railroad underlay.
Like all of the nonwoven filter fabrics, these geotextiles feature a felt-like appearance with needle-punched exteriors to allow water to filter through the fabric. All geotextiles are sold by the roll and are available in a standard roll size of 15 feet by 150 feet (15' x 150'). For more filtration options, including light weight geotextiles, please check out all Nonwoven Geotextiles.

Nonwoven Geotextile Applications
Nonwoven Geotextiles are most commonly used for projects that require both stabilization and filtration. Some of the many locations where these fabrics have been used include the following:
- Railroad Stabilization
- Geomembrane Cushioning
- Filtration Applications
- Drainage Projects
- Separation of Aggregates
- Protection of Roadways and Streets
- Waterproofing for Areas
- Reinforcement Applications
As mentioned above, the 16 oz. fabric is generally rated as our highest strength nonwoven fabric. This means that the material will be able to handle additional pressure/weight placed on the barrier, but will have a lower level of permeability. For projects that need to accommodate higher flows, please check out our some of light-medium weight fabrics on the Nonwoven Geotextile page.
