Erosion Control Mats
10 oz. Nonwoven Geotextile for Erosion Control, Separation, and Underlayment
The 10 oz. nonwoven fabric is a heavyweight geotextile option used for locations that require both strength and filtration. Equipped with a grab tensile strength of 250 pounds, these fabrics are often used in the following applications:
- Geomembrane Cushions
- Road Separation Materials
- Railroad Stabilization Fabrics
- Aggregate Separation
- Driveway Lining
- Drainage Materials
Nonwoven fabrics are known for their filtration abilities and feature needle punched pores throughout the fabric materials that allow water to pass through, while still retaining aggregate. Fabric is sold by the roll and is available in roll sizes of either 12.5' x 360' or 15' x 200.

How Do I Use a Nonwoven Geotextile?
Using the nonwoven geotextile is often dependant on both your location and application for the geotextile. In general, geotextiles are often placed underneath or between layers of materials. This can include placement of the geotextile under a dirt road prior to placing the dirt, installation around a pipe to provide filtration or install between different types of aggregate.
Typical Geotextile Applications:
- Erosion Control
- Road Construction Underlayment
- Road Reinforcement
- Aggregate Separation
- Sporting Fields
All geotextiles are made from a polypropylene material that offers a high resistance to rot, UV rays and more.
