Dewatering Bag Variety
Choosing the right dewatering filter bag for your location is often dependant on several different different factors including the type of materials you need to filter and where you will be using this product. Please feel free to check out the descriptions below for more information on each of these dewatering bags.
One of the most commonly usedTaurus dewatering filter bags is the sediment only model. Designed with a high strength filter fabric, these bags are equipped to filter out sediment, silt and other particles as they are pumped into the bag. These bags are commonly used on construction site and dredging areas and include the following standard sizes:
|6' x 6'||8 oz. or 10 oz. Nonwoven||1.44 cu. yd./bag|
|15' x 10'||8 oz. or 10 oz. Nonwoven||6 cu. yd./bag|
|15' x 15'||8 oz. or 10 oz. Nonwoven||9.6 cu. yd./bag|
|15' x 20'||8 oz. or 10 oz. Nonwoven||12 cu. yd./bag|
|15' x 25'||8 oz. or 10 oz. Nonwoven||15 cu. yd./bag|
For areas requiring the filtration of both sediment and oil, these bags are perfect option. Designed with a filter fabric that can handle both oil and sediment, these bags are available in several standard sizes including the following:
|Size||Part #||Max Flow Rate||Sediment Capacity||Sediment Capacity||Oil capacity|
|3' x 4'||9729||500 gpm||0.3 cu/yds.||720 lbs.||1.2 gal.|
|6' x 6'||9724||500 gpm||1.3 cu/yds.||4320 lbs.||3.7 gal.|
|10' x 15'||9725||1500 gpm||5.6 cu/yds.||18,000 lbs.||15.1 gal.|
|15' x 15'||9727||1500 gpm||8.3 cu/yds.||27,000 lbs.||22.6 gal.|
The reusable dewatering filter bag is a good choice for locations looking to contain and dewater smaller amounts of materials. Rather than being complete sealed, these bags will feature a locking rod that will seal one side of the bag shut. Once dewatering has finished, this portion can then be opened to allow for the bag to be cleaned and reused. Sizes include the following:
|Size||Part #||Max Flow Rate||Sediment Capacity||Sediment Capacity|
|3' x 5'||9730||500 gpm||0.3 cu/yds.||960 lbs.|
|3' x 7'||9732||500 gpm||0.7 cu/yds.||2160 lbs.|
For larger scale projects, we also have several Geotextile Dewatering Tubes that can be built in large capacities up to 200 feet in length. These geotubes and sludge tubes are meant to handle larger capacities than standard dewatering filter bags.
