Answer: Our GEI Works team is more than happy to help! Coir Mats are an excellent solution for erosion control. These strong coir erosion control mats support growth and development of vegetation by providing higher resistance.
The Coir Erosion Control Mat 70 has openings of 0.4" x 0.5" in the blanket and a weight of 780 g/m2. This semi-permanent coir product lasts from 4-6 years and is available in four roll sizes.

The differences you will find between various coir mat materials is in terms of their strength and weave opening. Typically, coir mats that offer a smaller weave opening (such as the Coir Mat 90) are higher in strength and are capable of handling increased flows or slope steepness.
