Importance of Anchoring: Anchoring and anchor kits are one of the most important accessories for turbidity curtains in sites dealing with moving currents, waves, tides, or other site factors. Fabric and Component Considerations for Turbidity Barriers in Saltwater

SALTWATER: When using a Triton fast water silt curtain type 3 turbidity barrier in saltwater, special consideration should be given to the tension cables and connectors. Standard type 3 silt barriers come with galvanized steel components; however we recommend stainless steel or zinc anode saltwater or corrosive environments. These additions help prevent corrosion and increase the life span and performance of your barrier.

SALTWATER and SHORT TERM PROJECTS: If your project is short term, standard galvanized cables and components can be used for a period up to 12 months. Contact our team for more information regarding saltwater options.

FABRIC: Alternative fabrics are also available for extended deployment in areas with high pH levels, high or low temperatures, or in areas where chemicals are present.
