The sturdy components of the Type 3 turbidity curtain are selected for there superior performance in demanding applications. This turbidity curtain is easy to use and can be equipped with skirt furling lines for multiple deployments or relocating.
These turbidity barriers have been used in several different locations including:

Our turbidity curtain sizes (PDF) are 100' or 50' in length by 3' to 100' in width. The fabric is heavy duty 22 oz Vinyl Coated PVC in a high visibility safety yellow and flotation size is normally 8” or 12” marine quality and is dependent on skirt depth.
Availability for these silt curtains can vary depending on what section length and depth you are looking to achieve. The standard depth of a curtain will typically be 5 feet in depth, although sizes can be anywhere from 3 to 100 feet. We typically recommend that the barrier you choose features a curtain depth that allows it to sit one foot above the water floor.

The Type 3 Turbidity Curtain is available in both a standard DOT and heavy-duty model. The heavy-duty model is our toughest curtain and has been used in very demanding locations and water conditions. The standard economy model (also referred to as the medium-duty or DOT model) is equipped for applications that need to meet DOT approval.
