Turbidity Curtain for Coast Guard Station - Oregon

Turbidity Curtain
We have some turbid water being introduced via 48" diameter storm drain which carries silt and sediment from an adjacent landfill into our docking area. Along with this comes some debris and trash and oily sheen.
We have had a couple of folks complaining about the situation (Inadvertently thinking we are the culprits... which of course we are not)and want to do the best we can to minimize the plume and control the floatable materials.
We have an existing oil boom we purchased a few years ago but is not cutting it. We really want to do our part and have asked to have the neighbors do their part but molasses seems to be fast at the rate they are going.
Please can you suggest the best solution and provide a cost for 150' and we are in 8' of water.

Hello Will -
I think you folks are doing a great job keeping the water clean with these products.
The Type 2 Heavy duty silt barrier ( Type 2 silt curtain ) would be well suited for this application.
We can anchor the ends to the concrete seawall and then 50' OC to your pier. This will allow it to scallop and the flow to dissipate. Another benefit is it will be right at the pier and you can collect the trash etc in one location. This Silt curtain is durable and think you will find it really useful in controlling that sediment plume and floatable trash.
We have sent the spec sheet and costs and look forward to working with you.
