Turbidity Barriers for Pilings
The Granite Environmental Turbidity Control System is designed specifically to control silt and sediment at the source.
These unique turbidity control curtains easily attach to (or around) existing piling for extracting. When used in conjunction with the sock cover, it ensures minimal impact to the surrounding habitat.

How is the Sock Cover Used?
The sock cover is attached to the top of the pile, laid on top of the protection system, and then unfurls to cover the extracted exposed section of the pile as it comes out of the water. The end is tied off before transporting it to the barge across the water.Piling Curtains are the perfect BMP for sites with critical resources that need to be protected. Installing and using our Turbidity Controlling System is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Step One: Clear out the area surrounding the pile.
- Step Two: Lower the piling turbidity protector over the piling.
- Step Three: Remove Piling!

Options: Additional fittings are often supplied with this control system including fittings for water exchange ball valves. This ball valves can measure 2 x 3" with camlock and 90° bends.
