Turbidity Barrier
Question regarding an impermeable turbidity barrier. Hi! I need a quote and specs on 200' of Turbidity Barrier, 7' high complete. I believe it needs to be a type 3 dot but I am not sure. I have high knots and current in my location. Does this barrier work for these conditions?

Depending on exactly how high the knots and current are in your location, different barriers may work different than others for your location. In general, most locations with a high knot and a high current require a Type 3 Turbidity Barrier. This barrier is our highest strength barrier and is used for our toughest water conditions.
In addition to this curtain, the other option we offer for moving water conditions is the Type 2 Silt Barrier. This barrier will be extremely similar in design to the type 3 model, with a few lower components for conditions that are not as rough or demanding.
Our is a tough silt curtains have been specifically for silt control in rivers, inter-coastal waterways, bays and harbors. Each floating silt curtain can be built to your project needs, whether you require a 3’ deep or 100’ deep skirt. All barriers are designed with impermeable skirts and materials so that products can stay completely contained to a specific area during use.
Feel free to take a look at our floating barrier drawing (PDF) of the type 3 barrier with an impermeable skirt. The fabric is heavy duty 22 oz Vinyl Coated PVC with a flotation size of normally 8” or 12” and is dependent on skirt depth.
