Frac Pit Liner

A Frac Pit Liner is one way to store frac water that will be used during oil field operations. Lining the entirety of your frac pond or pit, these frac liners can provide you with a traditional water storage solution.

When frac liners are inserted into oil pits or ponds, they become a barrier that protects water from seeping into the ground and polluting the area. This can be particularly important if you are storing back-flow or water that has been treated with chemicals.

The pit and pond liners are a traditional storage solution that can provide you with a barrier between frac water and the ground. These liners are typically made using multiple types of fabrics and many options.

One example (shown in the table above) is the PPL-24 Fabric. This liner is made of twenty-four (24) mil of reinforced polyethylene and containers five layers. Three layers are made of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and two layers of high density polyethylene (HDPE).

Determining what kind of material would work best for your conditions depends on how long you will be using the liner and what types of liquids you are storing. Please don't hesitate to call us to help find the liner that will work best for you.

Other materials include XR-5®, HDPE, and Tripolymer Alloy. Thicknesses can range anywhere from 12 to 45 mil.
