Nonwoven GeotextilesGranite offers a variety of Nonwoven geotextiles for improving water flow, filtration of sediments and soil stabilization. They are designed with great load transferring capability when under stress (i.e. under rip-rap) and typically have low tensile properties. Our non-woven needle-punched fabrics are excellent filters though, and resist clogging even in the toughest conditions!!. When used in conjunction with woven geotextile or drainage stone, the non woven geotextiles will reduce the loss of project site soil. In addition to this our filter fabrics are often used to cushion liners, separate aggregate layers, and to protect geosynthetics.

These fabrics are well suited to protect liners from damage by sharp objects, increasing the puncture, impact and abrasion resistance when installed as an overlay. They are also able to absorb asphalt tack to form an excellent moisture barrier that minimizes cracking and erosion below hard armor.
