Installation of a Type II Silt Barrier

Because every site is different, the guide is a recommendation and in generic form. Please keep site specifics in mind when deploying your silt barrier. When working with customers to provide the correct installation, we have commonly seen variations in terms of how these barriers are anchored and laid out. Anchoring methods in particular tend to be very site-specific. Steps include:
- Attaching the Bottom Chain (done through shackle or snap hook)
- Connection Slide Connectors (Type 2 and Type 3 barrier)
- Aligning and Connecting Grommet Eyes (this is done by tying matching grommet eyes with rope or zip ties)
- Towing Out the Barrier (care should be taken to avoid twisting or damage during the towing out process)
