Fuel Tank In My Boat Is Leaking

by Nils
(Houston, Texas)

The metal fuel tank in my boat is leaking. The fiberglass deck would have to be cut away to remove it. I'm thinking of cutting the end of the tank out and inserting a bladder inside it. Would that be OK? Is that Coast Guard legal? What would be the cost of a 150 gal, approx 6'x2'x2' bladder?

Thank you for asking. Yes, we have built fuel boat tanks many times. Please provide further information so our Granite Environmental tech team can make better suggestions and it also helps with the price quote for the
fuel bladder.
