How Does Each Function Work?

Filtration: Provides a permanent mechanical and hydraulic filter that can offer stability as it retains fine particles.

Drainage: Provides water drainage and gas venting in the plane of the fabric.

Reinforcement: Increases soil strength by providing bonding mechanisms to improve the soil quality and structural stability.

Cushion/Protection: Allows permanent protection of synthetic sealing systems (geomembranes) against mechanical damage during installation and after completion of construction.

Waterproofing: Acts as a support material for impregnations with bitumen or plastic-modified sealing materials.

Separation: Permanently prevents the mixing of two materials.

Natural Fiber Products:

For some locations, having a product that is natural and biodegradable can be essential to protecting the environmental surroundings. Natural fiber products (straw and coir) can offer the perfect solution. These products are designed to serve the same functions, but to biodegrade over time as natural vegetation or surrounding plant life takes root.
