Cost Estimate For Filter Bags For A Job In New Jersey
(Pleasantville, New York)
I am creating a cost estimate for a job in New Jersey, and we need some filter bags. I don't know exactly what dewatering bag size I need. Not sure exactly, I have an idea of the area and water depth we will be pumping.
Thanks for asking. We don't normally provide pricing through our chat. This chat function isn't equipped with product prices.
But we have a "hot deals" web page with the following Internet pricing: $109 for 10'x15' Dewatering Bag, 8 oz fabric, plus $35 freight/bag nationwide (45 - 60 % in hot deals savings). $116 for 15'x15' Dewatering Bag, 8 oz fabric, plus $35 freight/bag nationwide (45 - 60 % in hot deals savings).
My Granite Environmental tech guys could help you with a better cost estimate for your specific job.
OK, can you offer any insight as to the capacity of a bag?
Sure. Just a second, please. 10'x15", 6 cubic yards/bag. 15'x15', 9.6 cubic yards/bag. 15'x20', 12 cubic yards/bag. 15'x25', 15 cubic yards/bag.
We also have geo tubes available. These are bigger bags for for dewatering and shoreline protection.
Ok, so let me just double check. If we need to filter 3500 CY water, is there a way you would estimate how many sediment filter bags we would need?
In this case, the dewatering bags would be too small. You need to many of them. Our tech guys would recommend the geo tubes. Let me give you the capacities per tube.
Geo Tubes: 15 ft circumference with 3.5 ft tube height and 0.6 tube volume cy/ft.
30 ft circumference with 5 ft tube height and 2 tube volume cy/ft.
I don't have this pricing in the chat function available but if you email to granite@erosionpollution.com and let them know that you would need a fast response he can help you.
Is there a difference between dewatering bags and the filtering bags?
Only another word for the bags. You can also use silt bags or dirt bags.
We will be pumping water from an area that has been placed behind a cofferdam to empty it of water. The water is being pumped into the river, we just need to filter out the sediment.
