BioD-Block™
Used For Slope Stabilization, Streambank Restoration
And Stream Relocations
The RoLanka BioD-Block™ Coir Blocks are an economical and environmentally friendly way to control erosion and sediment in your area.
Coconut coir blocks are manufactured as a coir fiber block system that provides long protection to soil wraps by reducing installation time and product costs. They are frequently used in the industrial, commercial, and residential market.

Learn More about the Erosion Control Block
The erosion control block is used for several different construction and bioengineering applications. By offering quality coir fiber products at wholesale pricing, these erosion control materials have been used for the following product applications:
- Landscaping
- Streambank Restoration
- Stream Re-locations
- Slope Stabilization
Benefits Found When Using the Coir Block:
Makes construction of fabric wrapped soil layers easier.- Longer protection for soil wraps as to construct with fabric only.
- Better support to soil through rectangular shape.
- In many projects, no inner fabric is required if coir blocks are being used.
- Reduced installation time and project costs.
Often when using these blocks, multiple units are placed together to for a longer block that can stretch along a shoreline, slope or bank. Blocks can be connected together by placing the male side of one block to the female side of another block. These blocks are then placed under block fabric to provide a longer, more stable erosion control block structure.
These blocks have also been used to provide a constant layer of height for soil lifts.
