Benefits Of Re-Usable Flexitanks For Shipments

The benefits of re-usable flexitanks for shipments our customer shared with us:
Storage Capacity And Costs
• Prior to using re-usable flexitanks this specific customer
shipped in barrels, re-useable totes, or disposable totes. The cost of barrels and re-useable totes were offset by the distributors who shipped back the items and received a recycle credit. However the storage of the empty containers was an issue for our customer. It took a huge amount of barrels or totes to fill a truck, the only cost effective way to return them. Meaning it took a long time to collect the containers and they had to be stored somewhere. Accumulating empty containers was prohibitive. Usually these containers were never returned and added to the cost factor, not to think about the environmental impact.
•
Benefit of our re-usable flexitanks: Because the flexitanks are flexible and collapsible they can be
wrapped or rolled up and stored in a corner spot. In this way the empty tanks
take up only a friction of the former required storage capacity and save storage costs and handling time.
Freight Costs
•
Benefit of our re-usable flexitanks: Saving freight costs through the ability to
get truck load rates for each shipment instead of only for a few of the loads. Their customers installed holding tanks and reduced this cost through bulk handling too. Nobody is responsible for handling and storage of the empty containers anymore.
Leaving The Comfort Zone
• Doing something new or using a new product always includes the unknown factors that result in risk. Using a material that is collapsible and flexible compared to wood, steel or hard plastic can give the subconscious impression that it isn't "strong" enough. Testing out the flexitanks and leaving the comfort zone behind resultet in the following:
•
Benefit of our re-usable flexitanks:
More efficiency in the business process,
higher customer satisfaction through money savings and easier handling process.
