Geotextile Dewatering Tube Comparable
to the GT500

Question: Do you have the geotextile tube gt500? I am looking for something comparable, but doesn't have to be exact. I am looking for this to help a contact in Russia, he need some price quotes asap. The bag size would be 26m X 60M and he wants to know if there is a discount for larger purchases. Do you ship internationally? This is for cleaning a large lake, I believe.

Greetings to you in Russia! Thanks for contacting Granite Environmental. We are familiar I'm happy to help! I am familiar with the 600, or the 4x6 woven poly prop that is used often here in USA. We can get make the sludge dewatering tube with any material so we should be able to do it in a fabric comparable to the gt500.
As far as we can see, the gt500 is a woven geotextile commonly used for filtering abilities. Our geotextile filter tubes are similarly made from a woven geotextile materials, so we would be happy to see if we have a geotextile dewatering tube available with this material.
Choosing a Geotextile Tube
Sludge and Sediment Dewatering Tubes can be made in several configurations depending on surface are you have available. There a few factors which influence the overall performance, such as % of water content in the media, size of the particles, shrinkage when dry and soil composition.
We recommend our 4 X 6 Monofilament Geotextile Fabric is excellent for larger operation where 30’, 45’ or 60’ circumference is required. This has excellent UV and filtration properties and performs very well. We have found that using flocculants in combination with the dewatering tubes improve performance (solidification, filtering and discharge rates).
