Type III Silt Barrier is a tough silt curtain which is designed specifically for silt control in rivers, inter-coastal waterways, bays and harbors. These rough water floating silt curtain is ideal for demanding applications whether dredging contaminated sediments or demolishing bridges.
Without a doubt one of the most used silt screen and silt curtains product for NPDES and Clean Water Act compliance on marine based activities where protecting the environment is key.
The Type III Silt Curtain has been used on numerous projects globally and is the workhorse of the silt barrier family.
Each floating silt curtain can be built to your project needs, whether you require a 3’ deep or 100’ deep skirt, high tensile fabric or
woven monofilament filter fabric geotextile. We can HELP and will work with you for the ideal turbidity curtain solution.
Granite Environmental, Inc. is dedicated to providing superior performance products that get the job done well. We work closely with our client project teams to determine the best deployment configuration and approach for a site specific application.
In order to provide an accurate assessment for our clients we normally will request the following information:
• site conditions
• water velocity
• waves (height, frequency, etc)
• wind speed and direction
• tides
• soil type (contaminated?)
• project duration
• site specific requirements and project specifications
In addition, if the project is environmental remediation, like pcb (heavy metals) removal, capping or brownfields (coal tar)site development we may suggest a site survey/walk to get an in-depth understanding of the entire requirements.
Our dedicated staff are capable of project supervision and can offer installation assistance and guidance as required on a per diem basis.
